A: 本學期的EMI觀課，邀請到專業EMI教學顧問，於教師同意之授課時間內前往各EMI課堂中進行實體/線上觀課，旨在提供授課教師更貼近教學現場的實質建議與教學法運用，亦有利校方了解目前成大EMI授課型態(例如分組活動占比、是否翻轉教學/遠距教學...等)，作為後續相關配套措施研擬參據，老師們若有EMI課程準備上之問題或想法，亦可預約一對一的教學諮詢，跟顧問們聊聊！或加入EMI自主觀課社群，與相同領域之授課教師互相討論，減少獨自備課的壓力。
觀課時間為1小時(10分鐘課前交流+50分鐘觀課時間)，若老師當天有特定節次希望顧問觀課，亦歡迎提出。

Q: What is the purpose of classroom observation? How long does it last?
A: This semester’s EMI classroom observation invites professional EMI teaching consultants to observe EMI classes either in person or online, with the instructor’s consent. The purpose is to provide instructors with practical suggestions and insights into effective teaching methodologies. Additionally, the observations help the university understand the current EMI teaching models at NCKU (e.g., the proportion of group activities, use of flipped learning, online teaching, etc.), which will serve as a reference for future policy development.
If instructors have any concerns or ideas regarding EMI course preparation, they are welcome to schedule a one-on-one consultation with the consultants. Instructors may also join the EMI Peer Observation Community to engage in discussions with colleagues in the same field, reducing the pressure of lesson planning alone.
Each classroom observation session lasts for one hour (10 minutes for a pre-observation discussion + 50 minutes of classroom observation). If instructors prefer a specific class session to be observed, they are welcome to make a request.
